Red Bull Rampage 2026 Results: Wind Cancels the Men's Final, Goomes Wins Women's

Red Bull Rampage 2026 ended without a men's winner. Wind shut down the final on Saturday, October 10 after nine riders had dropped, and Rampage rules say every rider has to complete a first run before a champion can be crowned. Szymon Godziek was leading when it stopped, on 90.00.

The women had a better week. Robin Goomes won their final two days earlier, her third Rampage in a row, which no one had done before. The men's broadcast is in the player above, so you can watch the whole thing right here on BuildMTB.

what happened in the men's final?

It started well. Kaidan Ingersoll opened the day with a 78.75, and Johny Salido took the lead with an 82.37. Then it got hard. Paul Couderc went down on a front flip drop and got back up, and Carson Storch was thrown off his bike on a steep chute and flown out by helicopter. Storch was awake on the way to the hospital, and was later cleared and returned to the venue.

Kade Edwards, in his first Rampage final, took the lead with an 84.12. Then Godziek cleared his canyon gap and posted a 90.00, with Jaxson Riddle slotting into second on 85.87.

Bienvenido Aguado Alba scored 52.50 after a failed 360 drop, and finished the run anyway. Couderc and Storch crashed and have no scores listed.

By late morning the wind was picking up at the top of the course. Finley Kirschenmann dropped in but rolled a new line that skipped the features he had planned for, and Cam Zink and Talus Turk decided not to drop at all. Organizers put the event on hold at about 11:20 AM Mountain with the forecast getting worse, and called it off at 1:17 PM.

why is there no men's winner?

The rule is that every rider has to complete a first run before a champion can be crowned. The broadcast confirmed it around 11:15 AM, and each rider decides for themselves whether to drop in, so nobody could be sent down in the wind.

Our call: the rule stings, but it is the right one. The riders at the back of the order never got to drop, and that includes last year's top four: Hayden Zablotny, Thomas Genon, Tom Van Steenbergen and Tomas Lemoine. Lemoine's canyon gap never got a competition run.

Awards still went out. Couderc took Best Trick for a flatdrop backflip, Aguado Alba the Toughness Award, Edwards the Best Style award and Storch the Kelly McGarry Spirit Award.

how did the women's final go?

Goomes trailed Bergemann by 0.63 after the first run and won on her second, finishing 0.75 clear. She backflipped a step-down drop and landed a flat spin 360, both firsts for the women's field, and the flat spin won her Best Trick. Bergemann took the Toughness Award after a heavy crash on the Big Lebowski drop in practice and coming back to stomp it. Van Horne went from fifth last year to the podium.

what was different about this year's course?

Rampage went back to the original 2001 site, the first time the event has used it since 2004. The start gate was about a third higher than it was then, which made it the longest drop of any Rampage venue at 678 feet (206.5 meters). It was also the first time the women and men shared one venue.

Nobody builds with power tools. Riders dig for about three days, test for about four, and get two helpers each. Sandbags are the only material allowed in from outside.

how is a run scored?

There is no clock. Each rider rides top to bottom, and a panel of judges scores the run on four things: how hard the line is, how big the airs are, how controlled and flowing the run looks, and the tricks and style. The higher of a rider's two runs counts, and a tie goes to whoever has the better two scores added together.

Most of the field rides a purpose-built freeride or downhill frame. Three models show up more than once.
